i thought these ads were neat! i mean they are pretty simple, but i liked the concept. one thing though, on the website were i found these they labeled them as 'there's more underwater' which is what made me like these, but if you look at the actual ad, it doesn't mention this tag line anywhere. so personally i think that would help with the overall concept...

doggie dinner.
i saw this in a magazine back in november and i knew i had to get this for my brother's dog kody! i got this at target and it wasn't super expensive for a total of 6 toys...plus it was definitely worth the laughs! hahaha
i hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving...i can't believe it is december already!

delicious.
i think that the illustrations in these ads are brilliant! i prefer the wolf as opposed to the shark...but i still think they are both great! the one thing is though is that i think that the copy could have been much stronger to help support these illustrations...but still think these are great!

how cute are these photos??? now i am not usually a fan of dressing up animals...aside from a fun scarf once in awhile...but these outfits and pups are just too adorable!

city farmers.
i saw these ads the other day over on ads of the world...i thought they were pretty clever - the first one is my favorite...and the last one is kinda gross, but it makes the point!

united states of animals
i was doing some research for one of my classes this semester for another campaign we have to do...ugh. can i just say i really wish teachers would come up with more creative projects that telling us to promote a campaign for something because i have just about had enough with all of these stupid campaigns. anyway, i am working on a project for animal adoption and i was on the humane society of the united states website. i had seen their logo before, but forgot how much i really liked it.
i think it is great how they use all of the animals to create the outline of the u.s. and also that these animals are not detailed, but just silhouettes. that makes the logo so easy to read from far away - it is so clear s to what it is. as you probably know by now, i am a big fan of simplicity...and i love the outcome of this! i actually found a website that was talking about the redesign that they did recently - which resulted in the making of this!
i find the original one extremely boring and in no way relates to what the society is all about. someone left a comment on the website i mentioned saying the original one looked like a government type logo and i totally agree.

animal rights.
so today marks six years since i decided to become a vegetarian - i can't believe it has actually been that long! so i thought i would share some work that i did a few years ago for one of my graphic design classes that was about animal rights.
when i look back at some of my design work from my early years at college there are quite a few things that i absolutely hate, but this is a project that i still really like and am using in my portfolio. this piece is actually on my school's design website (i had posted this link when i first started my blog...but its been awhile so i thought i would post it again) and if you search around you can find a few of my other pieces on the website as well!
unfortunately jpeg versions of these don't do the colors justice, but you at least can get the idea!

doggie dentures.
i saw this ad on tv the other day and thought it was so funny! and when i was online i actually saw a print advertisement for it - but i felt the commercial was better, so i included that below. i'm not going to lie, during the opening of the ad i actually thought that they had this and all of the dogs with human teeth were creeping me out! hahaha but i should have known. i love how the one dog is like "you're kidding-right?"
i don't think the design of the print ad is anything special...i just find the idea so funny and somewhat ridiculous! if you want to see the ad in better quality go here!
and sorry i didn't get a chance to post much this week...its been busy!

animals.
i found these when i was browsing through the etsy shop. these animals are adorable and i love the designer's style. it reminds me of scrapbook pages in the sense that she uses different patterns and shapes to create the animals. they are really meant to hang in children's rooms...butttt i still really enjoy them.
i am torn between the elephant and the crab as my favorite!
