i saw these illustrations over on jessica hische's blog...they are actually work from some of her students at the university of the arts in philadelphia. the assignment was to create cover illustrations and endpapers/bookplates for the wizard of oz. these are my favorites of the bunch:

i saw this rebranding for the gay & lesbian alliance against defamation over on brand new's website. while i guess i understand what they were trying to accomplish with the old logo...i don't feel like it was that wonderful. but i think the new branding does a much better job of getting across the idea of the organization. it is clear that the logo worked from the key work of amplifying and overall i really like what they did with it!
