i have talked about jessica hische before (check out my earlier blog post here!) but she is one of my favorite illustrators/typographers! so since we are getting more wintry weather today - i personally love all of the snow <3 - i thought i would share some wintry work from her! this series makes me so happy...and it also makes me miss boston. a lot.

i am really loving these gorgeous illustrations by erica sharp! they are a combination of illustration and japanese washi paper. beautiful!

i really like this new packaging for nordstrom's stockings...nice combination of photography and typography!

everyday scrapbook.

this is something that i have been wanting to do for awhile now (you will see what it is below!)...but just never really got around to doing/starting it. so since it is the beginning of the year, i decided i might as well make this a year long project that kind of documents all the little random things that i do/receive/buy throughout the year. i did something similar to this when i studied abroad in italy - which really was the result of me collecting every museum stub and restaurant business card that i went to - but i kinda rediscovered this idea awhile back --- here! so i will try to update you every so often with some pictures...starting with these:

mello yello.

when i was at b&n the other night 'browsing' magazines i saw this little article about the redesign of mello yello. these are some of the new designs that they worked on and ultimately picked from. i really like these retro styled cans...especially when the old can looked the way that it did! you will see the can they picked below...but i think of all the ones in the photo above, my favorite is the second can from the right in the top row...and i do like the one they ended up with as well:

i came across this artist the other day and i really love her paintings. love all of the different arrangements of books and magazines - and how detailed the paintings are. oh and her use of color!
