hello.

hello again! sorry i have been mia for a little while. it has been a rough couple of weeks - my grandfather died last weekend. it wasn't completely unexpected, since he was nearly 98 years old - but that doesn't make it any easier. i just thought i would share a couple pictures of him with you. i will be back tomorrow and hopefully the rest of the week with some more posts!

i thought this was a neat idea. it was really intended as a gift to remember places that had special meanings using vintage maps of cities...but i think this is just cool as art!

i thought that this was a pretty cool idea. i am not actually sure who these are by, but it is a collage of all of vogue's 2010 covers...from all different countries. i didn't realize there were so many different vogue editions...but these are my favorites. you can see the rest here.

wine.

i had seen this kind of think awhile back on a wine bottle my parents had and i thought it was a great idea. yesterday i came across this over on lovely package...and while this specific example doesn't make me scream excitement...it was a good way for me to explain. This is what i am talking about:

i think it is soooo clever to have a little strip that rips off from the wine bottle, so you can remember for the future what wines you enjoyed. so i just thought it was a good idea...something they should start putting on all wine bottles!!
