now i am not usually a fan of scarves...but these are beautiful.

when unfolded they are polaroid photos - but i love how they look wrapped around the neck. a neat idea! you can find them here!

flowers.

i can't believe that i never thought to post about this before - but wayyy back in october, my mom and i made some special centerpiece flower arrangements for a dinner party she was having. i work part time in a flower department and my boss taught me how to make some very fancy arrangements, so we decided to try them and they came out beautifully! the dinner happened right near halloween, so that is why they are so festive! the first couple are a few that i took at work that my boss made - the pictures there turned out better than my ones from home (i don't know how haha). but the bottom ones on the table are the ones my mom and i made!

i have really been finding some great design blogs to read recently. i don't even know how i came across this one, but i love the variety of things she posts on her site! the name of the blog is oh joy! and it is by a graphic designer. one thing i love that she posts pretty regularly are this and that posts. they include 2 images of things that have some similar design feature. i love them and as you will see below she has a lot of them! i just think it is a neat idea and i thought i would share! she says for each post, wear this and decorate with that:

cupcakes.

when i went to b&n while i was home for break, a book i actually looked through was hello cupcake! i love cupcakes and there are just so many things you can do to them to make them fun! so i have a bunch of photos to share with you - i was able to find some of my favorites from the book online, but some of them are my photos from my cell phone - so sorry about the bad quality! they have another book that came out this past fall with more cupcakes - so when i get a chance to go to b&n again i will have to take some more photos! these make me want a cupcake! oh i think that the van gogh cupcakes are AMAZING!
