i am sure by now most of you have probably seen these adorable engagement photos that were inspired by the movie up...but they just recently had their wedding, which also carried on with this theme! you can see photos from the wedding here. what caught my eye in these wedding photos though, was the most adorable cake topper! it is a custom cake topper that they got from lollipopworkshop over on etsy...so cute!!

birthday wishes.

tomorrow is my good friends birthday - happy birthday jaw!! but since we are celebrating it today, i thought i would share with you some things i made for her birthday! first off is her b-day card...i love this new cupcake stamp that i recently found - for a $1 no less!

and secondly is this birthday bag that i made for her out of newspaper! i found a tutorial for how to make this the other day over on a blog i read regularly and i thought that this was the perfect opportunity to try it out! i think it turned out pretty well - the only thing i think i would have done differently would be to attach the eyelets before i finished assembling the bag only because it was a little tricky to hammer the eyelets down without messing up the bag. but otherwise i think this project was pretty successful!

girl scouts.

i saw over on brand new that the girl scouts decided to re-vamp their image and branding. i will let you look at it first and then tell you how i feel about it...

so...i am kinda split between liking it and not. i am not really in love with the changes they made to the trefoil...i agree that the old one did make the girl look older, but i don't think that just adding bangs and a pointier nose make them actually look like children...i do really like the other re-branding they did - especially the fun things they did for the letter heads and business cards - that definitely makes it much more fun! i also like the color updates and font changes...

alphabets.

i recently came across this site that has found a lot of different creative alphabets - there are some really really neat ones listed. these below are just some of my favs, but you should definitely check out the rest!

i especially like this last one, since this is similar to a post i made recently...but this is the complete alphabet which is much nicer!

gelato.

gelato is probably the best food that was ever made. i don't even want to think about how much of it i ate while i was in italy! i just wish i could find a comprable version in the us...but no such luck! anyway i came across work from the graphic designer, joe stephenson, the other day and he had a branding collection for a gelateria and i just love it! i think they colors are beautiful and it has just the right feeling for that kind of place!

i just really want gelato now. hahaha

s'mores.

this is such a good idea for a party or a wedding favor! i found this over on a new blog i started to read - oh happy day - and they suggested having fire pits outside for when the bride and groom leave, so all the guest can go out and make s'mores! so fun - plus these little kit boxes are really cute!

i really enjoy reading the blog brand new classroom. the blog shows logo re-dos that students have done for different classes - i enjoy seeing what different people come up with. i saw this logo the other day on it and i love it! so simple, but it completely conveys the idea of the company, plus it is so much more modern compared to their actual logo!

i really like these animal prints by lumadessa. i like the simple geometric shapes...and especially the extinct print of the dodo bird!
